The instrument allows you to perform the seismic test for calculating the VS30 using the true interval method.
Equipped with two seismic receivers placed 1 meter apart.
The measured delay allows us to calculate the speed of the S waves in the soil layer between the two accelerometers.
Can be used with D1-CPLS Blue acquisition control units.
The image above shows the arrival of two wave trains generated by two energizations producing S waves (shear waves). It is well noted that the first wave train is detected at depths of approximately 4 and 5 meters while the second hits the receivers at approximately 9 and 10 m. Already from this first processing we can appreciate the interval generated by the 1 m thick ground between the two receivers.
